There’s something about walking into a chemist that makes me want to spend money. I always find myself walking out with products that I really don’t need and forgetting the ones that I did need. It’s safe to say that I’m a beauty product lover and here are a the top 5 beauty essentials that are a must have in my bathroom.
Cleanser: Cleansing your face is the most important step when caring for your skin so it’s important to find a cleanser that is affordable and works for you. There are so many variations available it’s ridiculous so it can be a hard decision and often involves a bit of trial and error. I personally hate that tight feeling that some cleansers leave me with, so I prefer to use a cleanser that is more soothing. The Nivea Clean Deeper Daily Wash Scrub is my current favourite as it lifts all the dirt and grime from my face and leaving it feeling super smooth and refreshed.
Face Moisturiser: Keeping your face moisturised and refreshed should be part of your everyday routine and finding the perfect face moisturiser is a key element to baby smooth skin. I use the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser as it is fast absorbing and never leaves my face feeling sticky or oily after application.
Body Moisturiser: I first used the Vaseline Aloe Fresh Moisturiser a few years ago on holidays and I never looked back. I must admit, I am very lazy when it comes to moisturising my arms and legs but when I do, this is by far the best. The addition of aloe vera smells delicious and leave the skin feeling super refreshed and soothed (especially when it’s been in the sun too long..). Its very fast absorbing and never leaves a sticky residue.
Fake Tan: Ahhh the wonders of fake tan. What would we do without it? Although us pale people out there bow down to gods who created fake tan, applying it can be difficult in more ways than one. Not only can it be hard to apply evenly but its also a pain in the but when it stains your clothes and your sheets. For easy application I would recommend using a foam formula and applying it with a mitt as it avoids any streaky finger marks and can be easily blended. Bondi Sands is a personal favourite as the colour payoff is perfect.
Micellar Water: I don’t know how long this miracle water has been around for but I feel as though it has just magically appeared and become one of the most popular beauty products on the market. And I can understand way. I have added micellar water into my everyday routine for perfectly clean skin. It’s amazing what can be left behind after you have cleansed and washed your face thoroughly and for that reason alone I will never look back on using this product. I have been using the Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water and absolutely love it!!
