Keeping Casual Classy

I am such a casual person, always have been and I think I always will be. That’s not to say that I don’t love getting dressed up because I certainly do, but when it comes to everyday outfits, I like to keep it casual in a way that doesn’t involve trackies and a hoodie..

The key to wearing casual attire and making it wearable, is to keep it classy. This means not looking like you’ve just rocked up to uni straight from watching a Gossip Girl marathon (even though you may have). As much as I’d love to wear my comfies 24/7, theres a time and place and out in public usually isn’t it.

The outfit displayed below is super casual but with the addition of skinny leg jeans, boots and accessories, I don’t look super sloppy (well at least I hope I don’t).. Outfits like these are so easy to chuck on and one simple cardi like this can be used in so many different ways. Different top, different pants, different shoes or even a different hairstyle can change one piece of clothing so dramatically.

I love elastic waist jeans (or jeans that aren’t strangling my waist) because you can easily wear them for long periods of time without wanting to unbutton them. Of course they aren’t as nice as a pair of leggings, but they are much better than skin tight button up jeans that leave you with a un appealing muffin top..

I wore this outfit all day and I was so comfy and super warm and my killer style (lol what?) wasn’t compromised. It’s easy enough to do, so why not try it out for yourself?!
